Eating disorders, bulimia, body dysmorphia, death, transphobia, racism and fatphobia are addressed.

We are fat. Is that a problem for you?
Aaaaah no, you’re totally beautiful!
Uh, sure. We are beautiful, charismatic, smart and sexy. And fat.

The world is made for thin bodies, that is the norm. As soon as you’re fat, your worth is called into question. We are not a joke. We don’t have to and don’t want to hide our bodies and our fat. The health status of a body cannot be measured solely by whether it is fat or not, and the BMI also stems from a system of suppression.

Fat bodies are not bad bodies and fat is not a bad word.
In a three-person monolog, the artists Jordan Tanner, Linus Wirth and Canan Venzky deal with fat phobia as a form of discrimination and ask how it is intersectionally linked with queerness, race and classism. They tell their own stories and connect them with historical and social factors. Together and with the audience, they seek moments of anger, sorrow and joy and drop all claims to their bodies.

Linus, Canan and Jordan are freelance artists from Bremen. They came together in the Strassentauben Kollektiv and are working together in this constellation for the first time with »Fat Fucks«.
