In 1968 Johann Kresnik founded his Choreografisches Theater at the Theater Bremen. 50 years later, the TanzKollektivBremen engages with the rather unknown drawings of the choreographer and artist Kresnik. In ›Einunddreißig Skizzen,‹ five dancers and one musician seek a point of departure for their own choreographic adaptation and reinterpret his drawings from a current-day perspective. A performative dealing with power relations and polarity emerges. In a one-shot live stream (camera: Lukas Zerbst), ›Einunddreißig Skizzen‹ is adapted for the virtual stage of the Schwankhalle.

The TanzKollektivBremen, founded in 2013 by Tomas Bünger, Magali Sander Fett and Miroslaw Żydowicz, grasps itself as a platform for contemporary dance. Based on their own, highly diverse biographies, the work of the three performers of the TKB deals with reality through dance and the body’s relevance and forms of expression in society. In joint artistic research, new performative formats are developed on stage, but also in entirely different places—like recently at the Kunsthalle Bremen or on a sports field. The TKB seeks contact with other arts and milieus, entering into cooperation projects with different artists and groups, in the recent past with, among others, the design studio URBANSCREEN (i.a. ›2D–dramatic dimensions‹, 2019) and the ballroom dancers of the Grün-Gold-Club Bremen e.V. (›And Now With Music‹, 2017). Since September 2020 TanzKollektivBremen have been permanent cohabitant/ hausgenoss*innen of the Schwankhalle.
