i can be your translator pursues a big goal: They want to lay the foundation for the adequate remuneration of all artists on stage. From now on, they are to be paid according to the performances rendered. After all, we are happy citizens of a performance-based society! The audience decides upon who wins: Persons with the best performative appeal, those who break the rules in the most creative way, or those who have made the greatest effort. Disguised as a game show, i can be your translator deals with the question of the fair payment of performers. May the best finally be paid better! Better is better!

i can be your translator is a collective from Dortmund originally founded as a band. Based on an inclusive attitude, they explore new forms of collective work and its artistic implementation. Their last piece, ›Das Konzept bin ich,‹ with which they made a guest appearance at the Schwankhalle in 2019, premiered at the Favoriten Festival 2018 and was awarded one of the four GROUND SUPPORT prizes.
