Since September 2020, Tomas Bünger, Magali Sander Fett and Miroslaw Żydowicz from the TanzKollektivBremen have been permanent cohabitant/ hausgenoss*innen of the Schwankhalle. With their ›Speed Dating‹ format, the collective at irregular intervals invites the audience to work-in-progress performances developed in artistic encounters with alternating counterparts. This leads to surprising and spontaneous situations for the artists and the audience—whether the performers dance in the stage set of another piece, on the empty stage or on the internet… many things are possible!

The ›Speed Dating‹ series will be launched with a duo by Tomas Bünger and his guest Sergey Zhukov. Zhukov was born in 1984 in Kachar (Kazakhstan) and came to Germany at the end of the 1990s to begin dance studies at the Folkwang University of the Arts, which he completed with the Folkwang-Prize. He danced with Pina Bausch and Susanne Linke and is currently working with the LaborGras collective in Berlin.

The TanzKollektivBremen, founded in 2013 by Tomas Bünger, Magali Sander Fett and Miroslaw Żydowicz, grasps itself as a platform for contemporary dance. Based on their own, highly diverse biographies, the work of the three performers of the TKB deals with reality through dance and the body’s relevance and forms of expression in society. In joint artistic research, new performative formats are developed on stage, but also in entirely different places—like recently at the Kunsthalle Bremen or on a sports field.
The TKB seeks contact with other arts and milieus, entering into cooperation projects with different artists and groups, in the recent past with, among others, the design studio URBANSCREEN (i.a. ›2D–dramatic dimensions‹, 2019) and the ballroom dancers of the Grün-Gold-Club Bremen e.V. (›And Now With Music‹, 2017).
