Holiday workshop for youth 14 +
Are you willing to share your wishes and ideas? Will you build an installation with Transformotor? You‘re cordially and curiously invited!
The Building! installation is an exhibition for students: It will feature trans*, inter*, and non-binary stories, songs, images, and ideas from BIPoC and white youth. What do you want for a school exhibition? What do you want the spaces to look like? What does everyone urgently need to know? What is needed to be said?
The Building! will feature special furniture, videos, pictures and things to read. With brush and paint we create changes: Any material can be transformed into something else through painting! Paper to rusty tin, fabric to wood, metal to water plants, styrofoam to marble, cardboard to water, etc. Nothing is impossible if you know how to do it!
The installation is part of a classroom piece. It will travel to schools starting in 2022. What‘s great about the project is that people 14 years and older are helping to create the installation for students, instead of planning without them.

Building! Café
Faking surfaces with professionals for painting, film and theater sets. To achieve this, we will work with materials and get our hands dirty. Professionals will show you how cardboard can be turned into a rusty aeroplane, fabric into stone and vice versa. Because it‘s all about change. And about taking spaces and changing them.

What else is needed? Continue to build as you please.
Let‘s look and listen to the installation and its treasures again. And think about what is still missing, what still needs to happen. There is time, professional instructions and material to continue with experiments that have been started, to finish things, or to talk and network. There is also a camera and recording equipment in case we want to produce something ourselves for the exhibition.

Transformotor is a group of PoC and white trans*, inter* and non-binary artists, theatre makers, arts facilitators, academics and activists. The group also plans the classroom play together. They are individuals working together with representatives from Queeraspora, Rat und Tat e.V. and Trans Recht e.V..
The workshop is provided by Marissa Macipe, Nahuel Rodriguez, Saman A. Sarabi, Simon Harder and Sylvester Röpcke. A great team of trans* and queer (white and PoC) creative and activist people between 25 and 40 years . They are part of Transformotor.
