»I say, Vienna needs a queen—and I am that bitch«, declares W1ZE quite modestly in an interview with the queer Vangardist Magazin. The young Zimbabwean thinks nothing of adapting to the norms of others, but instead pursues her own. That she’s exactly right in doing so is proven by her story: Already at the age of 16, long before W1ZE knew that she would one day be an artist, the Vienna-based singer began recording songs at home on her cellphone, inspired by her musical models Prince, Beyoncé and FKA Twigs. What started out of curiosity and for fun, in 2019 led W1ZE to signing a contract with Sony Music. With her chameleon-like RnB-pop-bass-sound, W1ZE fits in no category and makes room for herself to live out her identity in all its facets. Her music reflects the influences of her Zimbabwean, German and Indian roots—and above all the great freedom that W1ZE feels when making music.

With each new track release, the Afro-German singer, songwriter and entertainer Blazey cements his status as one of the most fascinating, young, queer singers out there. The music of the 23-year-old Berliner, whose roots are in Togo, brings together Afro beats with the contemporary pop and RnB he grew up with. Blazey’s voice is full of soul, and along with fiery beats he creates a sound that is at once vulnerable, powerful and uplifting. Blazey’s self-confidence is a treasure he holds on to, and his debut album, »KWAME«, all but bursts with the potential to conquer the world. Whether you already found the love of yourself or still need a little push—Blazey has got what you’re looking for!
